Books like this, are one of the reasons I don't like romance books. When I saw this cover, so unlike the first books cover in this trilogy, I knew they were going for the romance crowd, but I was hoping, unlike in other romances I've read, that the main characters would not be so 'selectively moral'. Wrong...Also, her comment 'I'm usually 'this %' anti-feminine', is insulting to me as a woman. So, a woman isn't strong if she likes to look feminine, but a guy in a tux, or jeans, is hot AND strong either way ? Ugg....To top that all off, lets just mirror the worst habits of mankind, by beating the sh*t out of some woman you hate, (a woman that isn't killing anyone at the time of said beating, btw), over soiling your cars leather, while getting her jollies on. Really ?? I don't care if it's a one of a kind car that can never be reproduced, IT WAS WRONG. Yet, because the protagonist who did the beating, is the big bad princes main *****, she totally gets by with it, and is still considered perfect in every way ?? I suppose it would be too much deep thinking, to write about the feelings of a horribly abused daughter being sold into political slavery for 50+ years, and then being discarded into a gilded cage like a minor irritation ?? I wouldn't have blamed her for scr@wing everything that moved until someone took her the hell out of there...Product details

I love these books! Genevieve is not only funny but such a strong female character that I devoured this book as quickly as I did the first. I love how the author has developed her characters. The romance isn't drippy which is important to me, especially since Genevieve is a character many women can identify with and would love to be.
After an attack Vieve the Heroine is forced to return to the Fae to heal. While she’s there she discovers a nefarious plot and stops it. In the mean time she’s dealing with some amazing twists and turns! This book will keep you on your toes and up late at night, huddled under the covers with a flashlight as you read just one more; one more paragraph, one more page, just one more chapter until the book is done!
The high paced energy rolls of the story in such a way that there aren’t any dull moments, even the lulls in the story are full of energy and enticements. The Hero and Heroine are constantly at odds until near the end when the Heroine finally somewhat accepts things but the ending leaves you crying for more!! I was given all three of the Forged by Magic Trilogies for a review, but half way through this one decided to buy all three at once so I could keep reading them over and over again!!
I love these books!!! I know I said that before, but I really enjoys reading these!! Action packed, funny lines, hot guys...what is not to love?!?!?! Rayn and Vieve are too awesome, although by this point the sexual tension between these two is so thick. But with Vieve stay at the mansion now, what can go wrong? Well for starters the Prince's consort is #1 on that list. I mean how can Rayn get Genevieve to trust and want him, when he is freakin married? Well Vieve being who she is speaks her mind and does whatever she wants, awing everyone. But with each day she stays at the castle the more duties she takes on...ultimately taking on the Queen role without knowing it. She can't but help out the Fey women, when she can see there is something wrong with them.
"Now, for the tricky part. I really hope they don't freak out. I reached my hand over to hers and held it. I immediately felt the dark presence inside of her so I closed my eyes and dove in using my magic to maneuver through her body looking for the darkness that was blocking her ability to absorb energy. I found it in the lost likely place, her solar plexus. Since that is the body's center for energy incoming or outgoing it makes sense that there is where the curse would gather. It was ugly too. A mass of black ooze about half the size of my fist. I pulled my consciousness back to myself, reached through the veil with my free hand and pulled out as old glass bottle. Returning where my magic was waiting, I wrapped my energy around the mass and pulled it from her body."
With every Fey she meets, they pledge themselves to her. But she isn't ready for that role yet and Raynon is unable to hide his impatience and so is his Dragon. A setup is placed and a bonding happens. But when an altercation with the consort takes place, there is no stopping the events that lead her back to a place she doesn't want to be. A place she would rather be dead than revisit. The stage is set and an enemy wont be stopped until he gets what he wants!
Im addicted....onto the next book!!
I loved this book! I loved all the really detailed descriptions of Bevalon Castle (Rayn's castle) and the surrounding forests. It was truly magical.
Genevieve is a hoot! She makes me laugh so hard when she's teasing Rayn and sabotaging Shea. Like when Genevieve and Rayn spar for the first time? Hilarious! Not only is she hilarious but she's also a really compassionate person to heal a lot of the Fey woman from the curse, and now all of those women are now healthy pregnant women. Which is such a good thing since they were starting to die out. She is hailed as being the Savior of the Fey. But I think she was just being compassionate. She didn't even want their mates loyalty that they proclaimed afterwards. She really is a good person.
Now Rayn, I understand him more. In the first book I thought he was a douche bag of epic proportions because he married/had a consort even though he knew Genevieve was his mate. But you find out in this book that he only did this because he believed that she was the Half-Fey Half-Elven child of his best friend's sister and he wanted to protect her from her father. Also, he never once touched her, despite her trying. He learns in this book from Genevieve that she isn't the hybrid child after she does something horrible, and so he sends her back to her father. Which definitely earns him some brownie points, lol.
I really enjoyed this book, and I know who ever reads it will too. So I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves reading paranormal/romance books.
